New driver types take a lot of time for
board design,
assemble prototypes
and testing

while I keep the prices of drivers on a constant low level there was mostly in the past often a lot drivers that are so low in number of sold boards that the investment of the design and prototyping was literally funded by more sucessful drivers like Astrolux MF02 or Convoy L6


It just takes a lot of time and effort to make those drivers so the sales price reflects mainly the production plus time to organise all the stuff around it (communication for sales, sourcing Parts, putting together the files for PCB production and handling shipping)

I spent likely way over 100 hours over the last 2 years on PC designing all those boards, making constantly improvements on the drivers

Also investments into new professional lab equipment is  fairly expensive those days, we are talking of [phone redacted]€ per device so I will also make some crouwdfunding for them in the future
