Hi everyone, my name is Macy, and I’m humbly reaching out to ask for help.

I’m currently in my final 6 months of nursing school, and had to take a break from working to complete my hospital clinical rotations.

It's been overwhelming emotionally and financially — and now I’m facing an even harder battle alongside my best friend, Whiskey.

On April 8th, Whiskey stopped eating, became very lethargic, and suddenly became very jaundiced. Whiskey was diagnosed with severe pancreatitis and a bile duct obstruction, which led to days of hospitalization, emergency ultrasounds, intense medications, and weekly bloodwork. She's fighting so hard, but the cost has already exceeded $10,000. Her medications alone are now $800/ month, not including her prescription food and ongoing lab work, $500/week. I attached just once invoice (of many) to show what 24 hours in the hospital looked like. It really is a heartbreaking reality to be faced with money, or giving your pet the chance to fight for her life.

I can’t imagine giving up on her after everything she's given me-- I'm doing everything I can to save her. She is still fighting, still wagging her tail, and I truly believe she has a lot more life left if I can keep supporting her through this.
