Whiskey’s Equine Hospital Medical Expenses

Anyone who knows Lil Bit of Whiskey knows he's the naughtiest, most fun loving, and hardiest pony I know. Even through all the mischievousness, he’s everyone’s best friend at the end of the day.
This morning I walked into his field for a simple kiss good morning before starting my day and something felt off. He was snoozing in his shed, zero signs of anything wrong (I even checked his at the time normal vitals just incase because I always do when a he’s down at an abnormal hour) but within an hour everything went south.
Within an hour he was throwing himself to the floor in obvious pain. He was breathing abnormally, his gut was eerily quiet with occasional alarmingly high pitched sounds, and he couldn’t go but a few minutes without falling to the floor. We’re unsure at this time what is going on. The vet wasn’t sure what to tell me but essentially left me with trailering him to the equine medical center or putting him out of his misery. If he woke up from sedation with zero signs of improvement, the decision wasn’t going to be up to me.
He’s currently at Marion DuPont Medical Center and we’re in the waiting room holding out for answers from his evaluation. By the grace of god he was able to stay up on his feet for the trip here. My hope is to say yes to anything that could even potentially save his life but as we all know vet bills rack up fast. Anything to help would be above and beyond appreciated. Even if it’s just a prayer tonight for a better tomorrow for our little guy.
