Hello! Thank you for being here. Led by Ute Elder Thelma Whiskers and her daughter Yolanda Badback, the Whiskers/Badback Family has fought to protect the Ute Mountain Ute Homelands and the Bears Ears landscape from the threat of the White Mesa Uranium Mill for decades. Thelma and Yolanda and their family have done this work on behalf of all of us - and now they need our help.

Thelma's grandson (Yolanda's son) Antonio is facing multiple surgeries after breaking his neck in a car crash. He has three fractures in his neck, several more in his spine, and a severely broken vertebrae. He is currently in Provo and will be in intensive rehab following the surgery. Antonio's an awesome guy and a huge light for his family.

The family is going to have to spend a significant amount of time in Provo to be with Antonio, incurring travel expenses along with the medical bills. We have started the fundraiser at $5K and will increase the goal as we get a better sense of the actual expenses. All donations will go directly to the Whiskers/Badback family.
