On Wednesday morning October 14, Justin Stirrett (aka Whipperj) was driving home to Canada after some days of connecting with other friends in the outdoor sphere in Montana,  and he was in a multi-car crash outside of Browning, Montana. He sustained multiple left-side injuries in the accident - broken bones, dislocated hip, dislocated and fractured fingers and toes, etc, along with a completely wrecked vehicle.  He was transported to the Browning ER where they relocated his left hip, and then was air-lifted to Kalispell Regional Hospital, where he's still hospitalized for injuries sustained in the accident. He's had several surgeries to begin the repairs on his left arm and hand, along with his left foot, and anticipates weeks and months ahead of further rehabilitation after he's released from the hospital. 



Justin's release date from the hospital is uncertain yet at this point, as his injuries prevent ease of mobility. When he is released, it's also not entirely clear where he'll be able to go - the best hope is that he can get to Canada soon to be with his kids, but if his injuries or all the COVID rules prevent that, he'll stay in Montana for as long as necessary. 


To know Justin is to love him, and anyone who spends time with Justin always knows how much he cares for them. Our goal in this fundraiser is to help Justin with medical expenses, evacuation costs, a new vehicle, and paying his friends who are taking care of him while he's slacking in the hospital. It's a road ahead, but we know he's had a long road already behind him, and this is one step in the journey. He's a fighter, a climber, and a friend that all of us are grateful to have. He'll make it through this and be better than before, partly because of all the people in his life.
