Hi, my name is Angi and I am raising funds for the Kroll family. This beautiful family is facing a medical and financial crisis. Brian is fighting for his life, currently inpatient in the hospital undergoing chemotherapy fighting chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) that has entered the blast phase. Brian was diagnosed originally in May 2022 but had been in remission and close to returning to work until the middle of April, 2023. He will now require a bone marrow transplant in order to survive. Brian is lucky. He has a great family. His spirits are good. His prognosis is optimistic. He is determined to write a book and revolutionize patient care for other cancer patients.

Unfortunately, the U.S. Healthcare financing system is broken and a complete and utter failure for families like the Krolls. The combination of a one-income spouse and long-term disability benefits means this family does not qualify for any type of government subsidy for health insurance. This makes COBRA the only option to maintain his current insurance coverage. Unfortunately, the cost of that coverage is nearly 1/2 of the disability benefits he is receiving.

We are trying to do anything we can to help this family stay afloat financially so that Brian can get the care he needs, and focus on healing and fighting cancer. Please help if you can.
