Whidbey welcomes lovely Ukrainian refugee family

Donation protected
Bill Patterson, a longtime teacher at South Whidbey High School, his wife Cheryl, and his mother-in-law, Lois have opened their doors and hearts to a family who lost everything at the beginning of the war in Ukraine.

Mom, Olha, and daughters Alisa (age 5), and Kimila (age 7), arrived on Whidbey the week of April 18, 2022, with nothing but suitcases.
This family drove 40 hours out of their country and took days of connecting flights to land in Sea-Tac.
We are helping them transition to life in America while dad works to arrive to reunite with his wife and girls.
We know this Whidbey community and the hearts of those here. Our immediate goal is to help them get an apartment (Mill Creek area), and feel the love of our region!
Please donate what you can. At this time, financial support is the most immediate need. We are hoping to help them furnish their new place as well as other items as needed.
