In January, after experiencing persistent and significant stomach pains, my best friend Ryan went to the doctor believing he had an umbilical hernia and hoped for an easy and straightforward solution to these pains.

After a series of images and tests, the doctors sat him down and delivered the devastating news that he had High Grade Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma throughout his abdomen and would need to undergo chemotherapy immediately.

Ryan, along with his wife Heather, and 3 year old son Rowan, now are putting their life and plans to expand their family on hold to fight against this disease.

Ryan has already undergone a first round of chemotherapy, but received news that future administrations of his medication require him to be hospitalized and away from his family for 5 days every three weeks.
