Our Baby Girl
Donation protected
At our 20 week ultrasound we found out that our baby girl will be born with a Giant Omphalocele, a rare birth defect that contains her liver, gallbladder and intestines in a sac outside her body. This making the pregnancy high risk, but also comes with many more challenges. We need to relocate down to Vancouver to be monitored by Vancouver Women's Hospital where I will be having a c-section. Being unaware of her health and quality of life until after she's born has been extremely stressful. The doctors told us to prepare to be down there for 6 months to a year while our little girl will fight for her life and may undergo multiple surgeries. Due to extreme financial stresses at this time in our failing economy we have to quit jobs and move out of our suite in order to relocate for a lengthy period of time. This has been very challenging on us emotionally and brought on much stress into our lives. Any support and help during this time is so greatly appreciated by both of us and our families. Please keep our baby girl in your thoughts and prayers.
