Hi everyone,

My name is Adam, and I’m a proud parent and supporter of the incredible young players at Whetstone Panthers Under 9s Football Club. This September, I’m taking on an immense personal challenge to help support their footballing journey — a 180km ultra trail run around the Lake District, with a staggering 8,000m of elevation. Called the 13 valleys ultra. The race takes place on September 26th, and I have 45 hours to complete it.

Why am I doing this?

Because grassroots football is more than just a game — it teaches teamwork, resilience, confidence, and brings our community together. Our U9s team is full of heart, talent, and potential, but like many local clubs, we rely heavily on fundraising to provide essentials like kits, training equipment, tournament entry fees, and venue hire.

This challenge is my way of going the extra mile (or 180km!) to raise funds that will directly support the boys and help them thrive both on and off the pitch.
