We’re raising funds to install a bench with a memorial plaque in Lerdahl Park - a spot Mitch visited often with his beloved dog, Luna, where they’d play, walk, and throw the frisbee for hours. It feels like the perfect place to honor his memory, and we’d love for friends and family to be part of making it happen. Any contribution - big or small - means a lot and helps us create a lasting tribute in a place he loved.

Our initial goal is to raise $1,250 to install a plaque on an existing bench. If we’re fortunate enough to raise more, we’d love to explore installing a brand new bench in the frisbee field but is something that would cost closer to $4,000.

Any funds received beyond what’s needed for the plaque or bench will be donated to the Dane County Humane Society, in Mitch's memory.

Once the bench and plaque are installed, we hope it becomes a place where anyone who knew him can sit, reflect, and feel close to him… or rest after a round of fetch with their own dog.
