When your well goes out, who you gonna call?

My name is Lori Abreu and I am asking our community to say thank you to Angelo DeJesus for his hard work to our community. I was as shocked as everyone when I heard DeJesus Pump and Well has closed their doors with no notice. DeJesus has served our community for 40 years, I have done business with them for over 20 years. They have serviced my own well and done all of our well inspections over the years. As we all know, when the well goes down, it is an emergency. Angelo DeJesus would like to continue serving our community however he took a job to feed his family in the interim. He has offered to help people part time if they are in a pinch but working on his contractors license. I along with a few other local residents have interest in paying it forward and giving this kid an opportunity to become an owner. Knowing in our community everyone has a well, this service will be very difficult to not have DeJesus to call since for over 40 years it has been provided to us. What I can tell you about Angelo, a dear friend of mine lost her pump house to fire. Took out everything. My husband and I, along with Rafter Dan, rigged up a temporary solution with his water trucks and barrels. Her current vendor wanted $3,000, which she didn't have and couldn't make payments. I called Angelo. He spent many days sifting through the fire damage, came after his 8 hour plus day and not only did all the labor at no charge, was able to find old used parts to get her up and running....no charge. Angelo wants to do this on his own, he doesn't know I am doing this. I know he needs a truck. If you want to invest in someone's future, or invest in having someone to call when you are out of water, consider donating what you can. Together we can make a difference.
