My name is George and my wife is Rachel. We are a Christian couple living in Florida. God brought us together after we both lost partners and it has been a tremendously beautiful love story. I have worked at Disney 24 years and love bringing joy to the folks I meet every day. My wife is a personal trainer who has had a weight loss journey second to none and she is so dedicated to helping others achieve the same. A few years ago she started experiencing extreme nausea . It was to the point it crippled her day to day functions, and made me feel helpless. We ended up fiding she had a tumor the size of a grapefruit in her uterus which resulted in an open hysterectomy . Thankfully it was not cancer. But she ended up with a massive scar that ran through this middle of loose skin from the massive weight loss. About 6 months later she developed a supra umbilical hernia, which caused severe pain when eating or just sitting up. That was repaired in 12/23, and now there is a hernia that is much larger at the base of the incision which is due to be repaired we are praying in a few weeks out. She has been out of work due to this one because it's very large. I have watched my wife suffer and it breaks my heart. On top of all of this she was diagnosed as having h pylori which has caused severe illness. She endured the treatment for this and will need retested in about 2 weeks. The bacteria took over her stomach and caused ulceration, so much so that the malnutrition she experienced caused damage to her teeth, and now the repairs needed are not covered under insurance so we have been looking into viable options. Now onto me, Ive been a type 2 diabetic for the past 40 years but other than that I am generally ok. So you can imagine my disbelief when one morning I woke up urinating blood. So after testing we discovered I have pancreatic cancer. The great thing is that it's non aggressive and the mass sits on the tip of the pancreas so if it becomes aggressive we can operate easier than if it were further in. As a couple we have had ups and downs but to go through these health issues has been a lot. I feel totally helpless sometimes when I watch my wife be unable to keep food down, But I revel in the good days also. Now for the reason we are creating this. I am one person working and the income to pay out is not there. My wife has applied for help but unfortunately as a married person the help just isn't as easy to get. We are asking for anyone led to help us to please do so. Funds will be used for house bills, food, medical copays and ultimately the dental surgery my wife so desperately needs. I was very hesitant to make this because I know I myself have been judgmental of people creating these pages. But until your life turns around you never know what your reaction will be. Thank you for any consideration and if you can't help out please say a prayer for us.
