Hi we are the Pervez - Raza family. Sabbiyah, Mohsin, Daaniya, Yahya & Imaan. We're very passionate about the education of girls.
So passionate that WE ARE DOING OUR 1ST TRIATHLON
♂️♀️
Being of Pakistani heritage, one of six sisters and a mother to two daughters...I (Sabbiyah) am aware of just how powerful education is for young women. It empowers you, opens your mind and gives you confidence to find your own voice.
Many of my female ancestors weren't educated, it wasn't seen as a priority and I'm acutely aware of the fact that if my grandparents hadn't travelled to the UK... I may have had a similar fate.
It is for this reason that this year for Ramadan, our family will be raising money to support the education of impoverished girls in my ancestral village in Pakistan. The families of these girls have little if any money to spend on basic provisions thus the education of their daughters is often put aside as they cannot afford it.
As the proverb goes, catch a fish, feed a man for a day, teach a man to fish, feed him for life.
We want to help end the cycle of poverty and give these girls an opportunity to skill themselves, enabling them to eventually help themselves and their families.
For £500 you can help educate a girl for one year (this includes the teachers fee, the resources needed and the uniform)
It is our aim to educate the girls of Bhirta, Mota Gharbi & surrounding villages for as long as we can. So although the target is £1000 we hope to exceed it in time. *we will keep extending the target once we hit it.
This year for Ramadan, Mohsin will complete a sprint triathlon which is 750m swimming, 20km cycling & 5km running. This will be completed on the last weekend of April 2022. The children and Sabbiyah will do a mini triathlon - 500m swimming, 10km cycling & 2km running. Apart from our two younger children, we will all be fasting whilst we run, swim and cycle.
Please do donate if you can, however little or however much. You can help transform the lives of these little girls who deserve the same opportunities as girls in developed countries. They deserve a space to let their imagination run free.
For transparency we can assure you that this money will be donated to the Alam Acadamy in Mota Gharbi, we will post updates of the school sponsoring the education of the girls and in May when we visit Pakistan, we will catch up with the girls you have sponsored.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch!
