When Life Changed Overnight: Support Kayla’s Cancer Battle
Donation protected
My sister Kayla was diagnosed with breast cancer in November at the age of 35. She had unfortunately just left her job and lost her health insurance. She has since been paying for COBRA so she can receive the best medical treatments necessary.
Kayla underwent a double mastectomy in February and is currently going through chemotherapy. After her chemo treatments are complete, she is scheduled for 5-6 weeks of radiation therapy. Unfortunately, during one of her scans, they also found a suspicious thyroid nodule that came back possibly cancerous and will also require thyroid surgery. She will also be scheduled for reconstructive exchange surgery early next year. Due to all of these treatments and surgeries and the effects that come from her cancer, Kayla has been unable to work and will continue to be out of work so she can take care of herself and properly heal as she continues to fight this journey.
If you are able to help with any support, we would be forever grateful and thank you for taking the time to check this post. Any contributions will help Kayla pay for her medical bills.
If you’re unable to donate, feel free to send Kayla a card. She loves reading them and they help keep her stay positive through this fight.
