Hi, my name is Jessica. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write, being that I am not someone who likes to ask for help.
It’s Christmas Eve. My fiancé Mike and I are currently living out of our truck in Jacksonville, Florida — with our two dogs, Midnight and Whiz. The truck is not just transportation for us. It is our shelter, our storage, and the last thing standing between us and complete loss.
Due to circumstances surrounding a former apartment situation, there are things we cannot publicly discuss — but what I can
share is where we are now.
We are homeless.
Right now, we have:
• Less than ¼ tank of gas
• $13 total to our name
• All of our belongings in a storage unit we are struggling to keep
• A biweekly truck payment of $425 (about $817/month) due this Friday
If we miss that payment, the truck will be repossessed — and with it, we lose:
• Our only shelter
• Our ability to work
• Our dogs’ safety
• The last foundation we have left
We’ve already downsized our entire life into a storage unit in the hope that this is temporary — that we can hold on long enough to get back on our feet. But right now, we are in survival mode.
This fundraiser is not about luxury.
It’s about gas, food, the truck payment, and keeping our storage unit so we don’t lose what little we actually own.
What Your Donation Helps With
• Food for all of us
• Gas to keep the truck running
• Our upcoming truck payment (our only shelter)
• Storage unit fees for our belongings
• Basic hygiene needs (showers, toiletries, laundry)
Every donation helps us survive this moment and work toward stability. Even sharing makes a difference.
We are asking for help — whether that’s a donation, a share, or simply reading our story and seeing us as human beings who are trying.
If you’ve ever been one bad month away from losing it all…
If you’ve ever loved your pets like family…
If you believe that people deserve a chance to stabilize and rebuild…
Please consider helping us get through this moment.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. And thank you for reminding us that we’re not invisible.
