When Cancer has knocked you down

Hi, my name is Kyle. I am looking to start a fundraiser in hopes in keeping my Family afloat as I take this long journey to fight throat

Cancer.

I am a Father and Husband. We have Four children and Three dogs. I have been the Only provider for my family as my wife stays home to provide care, school and a home for our family. In November my wife rushed me into the ER. I expressed to her my throat was hurting- she took a look inside my mouth and saw a black swollen area in the back of my throat. The ER doctor was so concerned and was unsure what she was looking at. I was discharged but was in contact with a specialist within days. During my visit with an ENT specialist several test had been preformed. They preformed three scoped test ( through the nose, down the throat) two with no numbing. We have been paying out of pocket as we did not yet have insurance. During opening enrollment we found some insurance. Even with the insurance these visits are costly. I have undergone a Ultrasound Guided Biopsy Lymph Node ( preformed on the outside and awake) and Tissue Pathology ( under anesthetics with many samples taken from inside my throat).

I have many appointments lined up already. I have asked what this could be caused from. I am a non smoker and do not drink. In 2014 I was in an tragic wreck that ended up in the ICU with 30 percent of my skin required skin graphing due to the sever road rash. While in ICU for 26 days I underwent many blood transfusions and 6 surgeries to replace my skin. The doctors believe the cancer came from the blood transfusions.

This has been such a struggle for me as a man who provides for his family. I am starting to feel like I am failing them. I am overwhelmed with appointments with Doctors, Radiation and chemotherapy. Not able to work like I was, I have been recommended to GoFundMe from my doctors. They truly understand this can take a toll on a family. I am hoping for this help in my families time of need. This will ensure they have a home and that their dad is around to love, support, teach and treasure them for a long time to come!

All funds raised will ensure that our family has a roof over their heads, that we can provide utilities, food, transportation and cover the extremely expensive medical bills that are already piling up. This has been a giant blow to our family and our ability to provide for them.
