Benji's 40th Birthday Gift!

BENJI NEEDS NEW WHEELS! AND....
BENJI TURNS 40 ON NOVEMBER 12th!!!
...Great timing!
I was very reluctant to create a fundraiser like this. A few close friends and family members, who know our situation, have highly encouraged me to do this. They adviced me to publically make our need known, which is something we usually do not do. I got on board because I cherish my husband and I know many of you do too! I would love for nothing more than to be able to bless him with an amazing birthday gift on his 40th birthday!
This is simply an invitation to help me bless a man that has a genuine need, and who deserves to be blessed. Benji works so hard, is so faithful, is making such a difference in this world, and never asks for anything in return. He drives to and fro work each day in a vehicle that is unsafe. I believe it's time he needs a reliable and safe car, and the only way we can make that happen is with your help. I know Benji is so loved and appreciated by so many, and I am hoping that I could get enough people to give whatever they choose, so that we can all get Benji a vehicle he's been needing for years.
Benji has been humbly driving an old 90's Envoy for the past 10 years. It is literally falling apart. Each summer he suffers in the heat from a busted AC that would cost more to fix than the car itself. The windshield has a 2 foot crack, the doors are literally falling off, and you can hear the squeaks from a mile away. Many times he has to hitch rides or share my mom-mobile. There are more things wrong with his car than I can mention. He cannot drive it in snow or rain, and feel it cannot weather another winter. Repairmen from car shops have told us it's been very dangerous to drive. It is now beyond the point of fixing with nearly 200k miles, and quite frankly we are ready to just drive it into a lake. Ha!
How cool to be able to give Benji his heart's desire...as a gift to show him how much the Father loves him, and how much we all appreciate him and what he does to fight against the injustices in today's world.
He has always dreamed of having a pick-up truck to haul around his hockey and fishing gear. He is a man wild at heart. ;-)

If you feel you want to sow into this birthday gift for Benji, my goal would be to be able to get him a used low mileage Toyota Tacoma, which is the truck he's always talked about. Any money raised will go towards a down payment or something equal to the amount of money we raise. It would be an absolute dream come true to raise enough funds to buy him his dream truck.
Benji is such an outstanding man. As his wife, I see day in and day out how faithfully and selflessly he pours out his life without taking anything in return. I really want to bless him with a crazy awesome 40th birthday gift just because he deserves it...and because he really needs it! :)
