Wheels for Sarah's Freedom

Our beloved Sarah, who is autistic, is facing immense daily challenges due to a severe Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). This condition has left her unable to use the left side of her body, and even the slightest touch to that side can trigger debilitating seizures.

As a result, Sarah relies on a manual wheelchair for mobility, but she experiences frequent, severe seizures that often cause her to fall out, leading to painful injuries.

Sarah's incredible mother, Dianne, is her primary caregiver, tirelessly supporting Sarah and her two other children who also have complex needs.

On top of this, Dianne manages her own significant health conditions, and her husband is bravely battling untreatable cancer.

Each time Sarah falls, Dianne must physically lift her, a strenuous task that has caused Dianne numerous physical injuries.

The family has faced incredible hurdles in securing funding for an electric wheelchair through conventional systems, despite their tireless efforts. However, a beacon of hope has emerged: Sarah's uncle has generously donated an electric wheelchair that belonged to his late son.
