If you are someone who knows Jim, then you are someone that Jim has done a favor. Our friend needs our help, and we need to return his favor!
After overcoming a couple of serious cancer rounds and all that entails, Jim is left with poorly functioning kidneys. He has been denied a place on the transplant list because of other health comorbidities those battles have created.
As a result, Jim must undergo dialysis treatment three days per week. The trip is nearly two miles, but Jim has endured it on his own.
However, on Halloween, Jim was returning from visiting his mother at a nursing home, which he makes certain to do at least every Thursday. Unfortunately, Thursday's snowstorm caused ice to form on the bridge on Route 83. Jim's car spun out striking the curb, a minivan following also slid on the ice striking Jim's car.
Thankfully nobody was hurt, but Jim's car is a total loss and beyond repair. Jim's income is limited due to his long-standing health issues and he has no way of replacing that car. Folks, after undergoing three hour plus dialysis treatment, the thought of Jim walking two miles in this upcoming winter frightens me.
Right now, his friends are doing what they can to get Jim to and from treatment, but this is temporary at best. Jim needs a reliable car pronto!
We love Jim and we know you do too! Let's help this kind-hearted friend by donating to meeting an $8,000 goal by Thanksgiving. Let's show "Uncle Buddah," as my k ids call him, he is loved.
Thank you.!
