Wheels for Jack – Help Him Get Where He Needs to Go
Donation protected
Jack is a bright, cheeky, and resilient 9-year-old boy who lives with severe cerebral palsy. He brings joy, determination, and a spark of humour to those lucky enough to know him. Jack relies on a wheelchair for mobility, and getting out into the community—whether for school, therapy, or just enjoying life with his family—depends on a specially modified van.
Right now, Jack’s family is doing their very best with the van they have. But after more than 260,000 kilometres, it’s nearing the end of its life. The wear and tear is starting to show, and breakdowns are becoming more frequent. His head is almost now touching the roof! Unfortunately, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will only fund modifications for vans that are less than five years old and have under 80,000km—a cost that is well beyond the reach of many families, including Jack’s. Jack's family can't do this alone.
The reality is that without a reliable van, Jack’s world becomes smaller. Getting to school, medical appointments, and simply having the chance to be part of his community becomes incredibly difficult.
We are asking for help to raise funds towards a new van that can be modified to meet Jack’s complex needs.
This van isn’t just about transport—it’s about freedom, safety, and dignity. It’s about giving Jack the same opportunities other children have: to attend school, access healthcare, and enjoy days out with his family.
If you’re able to contribute, no matter how big or small, it will make a meaningful difference in Jack’s life. And if you can’t donate right now, sharing this with your network would mean the world to us.
With gratitude,
Team Jack
