Wheels Fit for a Queen: A Van for Brynley

Every Queen deserves her chariot… help us get wheels fit for our Queen B!

Our sweet Brynley — lovingly known as “Queen B” — deserves a ride that’s as special as she is.

Brynley is medically complex and depends on us for all of her care, and while she faces each day with incredible strength, one of our biggest challenges right now is simply getting her where she needs to go.

Lifting Brynley in and out of her car seat and then into her wheelchair has become increasingly difficult and unsafe. A wheelchair-accessible van would give Brynley the comfort, safety, and privacy she needs, while also giving our family the ability to continue taking her to appointments and enjoying time outside of the home together.

Her daddy proudly serves our community through the sheriff’s office, and I worked in the medical field for 20 years before stepping away to care for Brynley full-time. Asking for help isn’t easy, but this van is not a luxury — it’s a necessity for Brynley’s safety, dignity, and quality of life.

Brynley, or “Queen B” is so much more than her medical diagnoses. She has the sweetest soul, a bright personality, and plenty of sass that keeps everyone on their toes. Music is her favorite—she especially loves long drives where she can listen to her songs and take in the world around her. That’s why safe, reliable transportation means so much to her and our family.

She has been through more in her life than most adults, facing challenges and knocking at death’s door more than once, yet she continues to fight with a strength that inspires everyone who knows her. To know Brynley is truly to love her. Though she is nonverbal, she communicates in so many ways—through her eyes, her smile, her sass, and her spirit.
