Being the family man that he strives to be, local, well-known & popular Karaoke DJ, Tomkat Tom Connell, was moved to help a young relative, Elena, who is a single mom to 2 children (a newborn & her 3 y/o "sidekick") by selling his trusty, reliable car to her at a low, very reasonable price after he purchased a more suitable choice that was perfect for transporting his karaoke equipment to gigs.

Life gets hard at times for a young single mom & she was a little tired & needed a break from the worry & stress of everyday life that is the reality of having 2 small kids. So imagine her surprise when once the transaction was made, life seemed to get a little easier for her & her little family, who by now, had gotten into a normal & happy routine. Life was good, or so she thought... until her only means of transportation, the only way she was able to provide for her children, the beloved little car that Karaoke Tomkat had made possible for her to purchase, was stolen from her home & completely "totaled" when law enforcement was forced into a high-speed chase with that person who had taken her only secure hope for providing for and being able to take her kids not only to places they needed or HAD to go, but to kids' things. So of course, her heart immediately sank, as only a single mom could relate to.

In the meantime, after having helped, yet again, another young family member get a jump on starting his life over, "Tomkat Tom" wasn't in a position to help her like he did months prior. But after sitting alone for a night or two, going over the unexpected turn of events in his mind, at the suggestion of, and with the encouragement of many friends and other family members, he commissioned this author to set up this GoFundMe account in hopes that this might be the answer to such a devastating and low blow to a single mom whose main purpose in life is to ensure that her babies are taken care of in every way possible as they rightfully should be taken care of. What if there was a midnight emergency? She's basically gonna have to wait until someone arrives. We all know that everyone needs transportation. And having been there, single mom life is sometimes hard and expensive and sometimes people just need a little help in life.

Therefore, we are asking that anyone who can, and is willing, to please reach down deep into your heart & soul and make a donation to this GoFundMe account to help someone in need and possibly not lose everything they have, just because someone who is obviously troubled, didn't have the conscience nor the morals, to not steal her property nor to not "run from law enforcement" putting them in danger as well! (And yes, they do put their lives on the line every single shift they work.) The person who stole and destroyed her car also didn't give a thought as to how stealing a young mom's car has great potential to cause her to lose everything and to possibly put her in a low dark space mentally where no one needs to be. You're right! This cause isn't a medical emergency nor has anyone died, but it's a very real cause. A very real issue to 2 little kids who aren't yet old enough to even know how bad things can quickly get. So, with humbled emotions and much thought and consideration as to how best to help Elena, we're asking for you to please donate whatever amount you can!
