Hello everyone, my name is Christine Wooten im a 34 years old. When i was in middle school i started to have injuries with my fingers, sometimes never even really doing anything to hurt them...over my lifetime ive had surgery on 7 of my fingers, and 2 of my wrists, 4 more surgeries on my knuckles on both hands and one thumb, i have tendinitis in my ankles and my knees are all over the place and sublax along with both sides of my hips. Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is a connective tissue disorder so everything that connects my bones has issues. Some days are really hard for me and going anywhere with a lot of walking i usually don't go or i have to rent a wheelchair that is not made for me which in return hurts me. It doesn't take much for something in my body to go wrong. On Top of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome i was recently diagnosed with Postural orthostatic tachacardia syndrome with hypertension meaning some days when standing my heart rate can sky rocket and even sometimes my blood pressure will drop and it causes me to faint, or feel faint,or get sick, but it constantly wears me out. Thats also why walking or being on my feet for long periods of time is hard for me. Even though my doctors have stated i needed it my insurance has denied it. They have stated that Ehlers Danlos Syndrome weakens muscles and that was it.  That's the hard part of having this disease! I've been on a table before for a tilt table test and I've looked over only to the see the person performing my test googling Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I need an ultralight weight chair because i cannot lift anything heavy without hurting myself, the chairs that are heavy are also way to hard to push and will cause my shoulders to sublax. Also because of constantly having to push it would be very beneficial for me to have the smartdrive as it is a motor that helps push the chair. It hooks to the back making my manual chair part electric. I am in the process of appealing for disability , so I am not working. It is to hard for me to keep a job.
