Wheelchairs for Emmanuel and Francis.

Francis's wheelchair is broken and he has to crawl to get around his living space . 
He has a spinal cord injury from falling from a tree. He lives in a village in Nigeria. 

Emmanuel also has a spinal cord injury from a car accident. He is trying to help Francis by bringing him food and supplies via his volunteer organization . His wheelchair, while not broken, is not suitable for the rough and muddy terrain. He requires help getting around as he helps others in need.

My name is Erik Kondo . I have a spinal cord injury. I am trying to help Emmanuel and Francis by raising funds to purchase and ship them two Rough Rider wheelchairs   which are designed for their environment and will enable them to be more independent, greatly improve their quality of life, and enable them be more productive.

My Plan of Action

While the Rough Rider wheelchair is relatively cheap at $500 apiece. I estimate that it will cost approximately $2,000 to ship it them. My plan is to receive the wheelchairs and fill the shipping box with much needed donated medical supplies which will help offset the high cost of shipping from a practical standpoint.

- (2) Rough Rider Wheelchairs delivered to me - $1000.
- Shipping to Nigeria via DHL International - $2,000.
Total = $3,000.

NOTES:

1. I will be shipping via my nonprofit account which discounts the price from 50-60% off the regular rate
2. Nigeria is well known for scams. This is not one of them. I have included many links in the story so you can verify for yourself.
3. In the event more than $3,000 is raised, the additional funds will be used to locally purchase basic needs for Francis, Emmanuel and others with spinal cord injury such as mattresses and bedding. Francis currently has no mattress and Emmanuel's mattress is over 50 years old.

5. While used wheelchairs in Nigeria can be obtained for a few hundred dollars. They are barely functional and not suitable for the environment.
6. Some of the much needed medical supplies are catheters, leg bags, tubing, lubricates, sterilizers, antiseptics, bandages, etc.
