Wheelchair trailer & ramp for Lilly Bostwick

Donation protected
Lilly Bostwick, now 6 years old, was born with Dominant Emery Dreifuss Muscular Dystrophy , a  genetic disorder causing severe muscular deterioration. Once the muscles are lost, they can’t be restored.  In October 2019, she went to her first appointment at Shriner's hospital. By the end of December, she was in braces to help her walk. By mid-February, she could no longer walk with the braces and got her first manual wheelchair.  Insurance has since approved a special, electric wheelchair which is being custom built for Lilly's mobility needs.

The ask: In order to securely transport the medical machinery behind the family vehicle, the Bostwick's need to purchase an enclosed trailer. This trailer will allow Lilly to travel and even attend public school in the fall! We will also build a ramp to allow her to move in and out of the house on her own.

We want Lilly to get her custom-built chair as soon as possible but she can't get it until they have a way to transport it. That is why we are reaching out to you. Your contribution will bring this family one step closer to getting back a little freedom and independence for their little girl.
