Amy Armstrong: Environmental Lawyer and director of SC Environmental Project is one of the most determined, effective, and independent people in our Pawleys Island community. After a 1996 accident which left her a paraplegic, she is dependent on a wheelchair. Her daily life and work routines, including getting in and out of her car, would awe most able-bodied walkers: Each car trip involves dismantling, cross-body hauling, and reassembling a 33 lb wheelchair: a time consuming and physically grueling upper body task that's been causing injury to her upper body (on which she 100% relies for ALL daily living). This wheelchair loader does it all for her, check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1hxYe_5rMg
She's researched the company in depth, but its out of her grasp financially and insurance does NOT assist. Thank you for pitching in to help her maintain her independence and mobility. Please feel free to copy/paste this link to your own FB or email contacts to help her make this a reality for Amy.
