I’m Kris, a 41-year-old wheelchair user, and for me a car isn’t a luxury, it’s how I survive independently. My current car has failed beyond repair, and without a suitable replacement I lose access to medical care, physiotherapy, and everyday life. Asking for help is my last resort, but I can’t face this alone.

In 2025 started a YouTube channel called HOLDMYWHEELS, where I show what real life looks like when you’re disabled. I recently made a separate video about why I need a car and what's wrong with the current, Peugeot 407, 2008.

This fundraiser is not something I ever wanted to create, but I’ve reached a point where I no longer have another option.

Why I Need Help?

I’ve been driving my 2008 Peugeot 407 for many years. Until recently, it served me well, but it now urgently needs:

New dual-mass flywheel

Fuel injectors to be at least renovated

Some minor fixes like AC leakage, interior lightning, and obviously, check engine.

The cost of these repairs is higher than the value of the car itself, making repair financially impossible. And unreasonable. At the same time:

I urgently need new wheelchair, Physiotherapy costs are high and ongoing. My mortgage is draining what little savings I have (these are actually gone already) I’ve been unable to find work for over a year. I had to renovate my flat myself so my freshly born son has a room for himself (also available on YouTube).

What the Funds Will Be Used For

I need a large van-type vehicle, such as a Ford Transit Custom or similar.

This isn’t about comfort, it’s about space I genuinely need. The van must be big enough to transport me, my chair, my girl, our dog and most importantly, Julian The Baby and his stroller. Occasionally I'll take my handbike for a ride. This type of vehicle is the only way I can stay independent and live a normal family life. I can't make it without your help.
