Keith Robinson - Veteran Wheelchair Games 2017
As most of you know Keith recently had his leg amputated above the knee. Shortly after he lost his leg he decided he wanted to compete in the Veterans wheelchair games that will be held in Cinncinatti Ohio this July.
He started training in January and will be competing in Bowling, Shot put, and Javelin. Every Saturday I drive Keith to Salt Lake where he is on a Bowling League with other disabled Vets. He is so proud to be representing Utah and his fellow Brothers in Arms.
Keith's first love is the Marines. He would still be serving if he was not injured. His truck is evidence at how much the Corp means to him, it is decked out Marine style.
His second love is sports. Professional, semi, little league, mens, womens anything competive.
We need to raise money for his airfare and hotel. Funds are tight in our hosehold due to my recent battle with breast cancer, medical bills and the small orphanage we run.
Keith has dreamed of competing again as he loves his trophies. I am amazed at how he has dealt with the amputation of his leg. His spirits have been up, rarely have I found him feeling sorry for himself. No doubt the anticipation of the games has kept him focused. It would mean the world to us if through donations he can make it to the games. We have had a rough go of it lately and through the love and support of our friends, we have been able to keep our heads up and to fight the good fight. We are enternally grateful for any and all donations. We love you!
