Wheelchair for Disabled Autistic Trans Man

Hello!

My name is Robin and I am hoping to raise enough money for me to get a new proper wheelchair for me to get around. My current wheelchair was purchased secondhand and is falling apart, making it nearly impossible to get around without constant assistance.

 

I was injured from a fall in Summer 2021, where I suffered a concussion and a herniated disc in my back that has yet to heal properly. I have tendonitis and carpal tunnel in both of my wrists which makes pushing myself in my manual wheelchair extremely difficult and very painful. I am awaiting surgery for my wrists and have been in and out of hospitals since my fall for my back pain which may result in surgery.

 

My mobility loss has been debilitating. I love going for hikes and seeing the beautiful forests around me, Spending time with my family and friends exploring the world around me brings me so much joy and nature calms me like nothing else. I haven't been able to be in the forest since 2020 as I had a broken ankle which healed just before my fall in the summer. My depression and anxiety have been awful and I have been working very hard with my doctors and fiancé to make things easier, but the isolation has been the hardest part to endure.

 

Please help me find joy again by raising funds for a new wheelchair
