WHEATY'S VET BILLS
Donation protected
- Our 3 year old rescue poodle Wheaty has had a really bad 2020 too. June 1st of this year he could not open his eye, we brought him to the emergency vet and found out he had Glaucoma. His eye pressure was 62, normal pressure is between 10-25 he was put on 2 different drops. The Cosopt drop was making him vomit 10 to 12 times a day. We brought him back to vet they said he had aspiration pneumonia from vomiting, this happened 3 times, he was hospitalized each time. Vet did GI scope found he had excessive acid in his stomach. So now he is on Reglan 3 times a day & Prilosec 2 times a day. Wheaty's eye pressure went up to 84 recently and he had no vision in that eye, so we had no choice but to have the eye removed. We can only hope & pray this awful disease doesn't affect his remaining eye which we are giving him drops as a preventive measure. We had been putting all the charges on credit cards, which we only use in emergencies because we were unable to get insurance since Glaucoma was now preexisting. The bills have started to arrive, we did not realize how much we had spent, was only trying to get our baby well. I have been unable to work because of Covid-19 and I have lung disease, and my wife has had to take a pay cut due to pandemic. We would like to ask if anyone could donate any amount toward our Vet bills. No amount is to small and it would be greatly appreciated. Thanking everyone in advance. If you could share our story that would be so helpful.
