Keith’s Journey
Donation protected
I have set up this Go Fund Me page to help alleviate some of the financial stress on Keith and his family so they are able to focus on his recovery. Keith unexpectedly had triple bypass surgery on November 16th. Last summer, during a routine physical for his CDL license, his blood pressure was extremely high. He made an appointment with his Family Medicine doctor and they ran some tests. He was scheduled for an angiogram with possible stints. They discovered there was too much damage and he needed quadruple bypass surgery. Keith and Joleen met with the surgeon that afternoon and scheduled the surgery. Keith had surgery on November 16th. The surgeon did a triple bypass instead of the quadruple as planned.
This recent surgery has been part of a long medical journey for Keith. He was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called SAPHO Syndrome. There is no cure, he has to manage symptoms as they arise. Some of the ongoing symptoms are inflammation and pain from arthritis. He has had multiple infusion therapies because of infections after surgery. That has been a concern for his bypass surgery. They are currently watching his incisions for signs of infection. Keith also developed diabetes from the medications he was on for the SAPHO Syndrome. He is currently on many medications for SAPHO Syndrome and heart disease and has many appointments every week.
Keith’s journey has been a long one but he continues to fight and go on with little complaining even though you know his is in pain. He has been very strong through it all and because of his faith, determination, and positive attitude he is a survivor. He goes to cardiac therapy to regain strength and has been changing his diet.
Keith has not been able to work since his surgery in November and still has recovery and strength building to do. Any help to relieve financial stress is greatly appreciated.
