What You Wear Matters

Hello, my name is Jelani Aswad. Seven years ago, my family moved from Spring Valley, NY to Cleveland, OH, to serve in a ministry and to pursue our dream of seeing the world changed through peace, love, and hope. It has been a CrAzy journey that has given us a wonderful family, a thriving ministry to serve in, and a community that has loved us in a way that has led to our own healing.

This healing space has allowed me to realize what God has truly called me to do: to develop the next generation of creative artists who can use their God-given abilities to point to our Messiah, Jesus.

After launching my clothing company using the typical blank T-shirts and materials representing fast and cheap fashion, I was educated on how some of the materials I used hurt little children and poor workers in different countries. I was stunned. My wife told me about “fast fashion” (look it up when you get a chance). I was convicted to think of how God called me to steward my gift of life, my talent, and the earth He for us to cultivate & multiply.

So, I shut everything down for a year and a half to research how I could become eco-friendly in my packaging and sustainable in my production and sourcing of materials/fabrics. I searched high and low across the world and the United States for high-quality cotton and fairly produced organic materials.

We landed where we are now and I am so proud of our work to get to this point. However, I need your help. If you believe in the message of the gospel going out in how we live and what we wear, please consider donating to the Messianic Supply Company
(MSC). MSC is a sustainable and eco-friendly conversation starter streetwear brand depicting art and design that point to the Messiah, Jesus Christ. A business like MSC is also sustainable in that it gives room for other creatives to walk in their purpose, end poverty by creating jobs, and give generously to other ministries and churches. We craft clothing with integrity and source some of the finest cotton in the world so that our customers can look good knowing what they wear has an earthly and eternal impact.

Here is my promise to those that donate. I promise to create jobs for people who have little access to work in their passions and want to make a decent living. I also promise to use capital and resources to continue to do the ministry of discipleship through music and arts as I have always done. I promise to do this aggressively and diligently until Jesus returns.

Would you consider donating to our cause to help this brand launch succeed?
