What was never going to happen to Steve, happened.

Hmmm...my family has a history of heart problems, several heart attacks and deaths. But y’all that know me know “that will never happen to me!” Within the past year I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation. That causes the heart to beat irregularly and weakly. Insurance at my age cost $1100 on the average. I had periods I was so weak I could not work so it was really a struggle.
Then, at the beginning of last fall, I got a hard, brown mole right in the upper middle of my back. Living alone, except for Diego, I never saw it nor did anyone else. I finally noticed it in the fall of lat year, then on 11/16/18, I went to the dermatologist and she immediately started frowning and clucking. “That’s bad,” she said.
So, the biopsy showed Stage 2 “Malignant Melanoma, Invasive, Nodular Type.” My Medicare Part B just kicked in on 7/1/19, but that still won’t pay for surgery and all the ancillaries.
I’m not working right now, i’ve sent lots of resumes but most of the work is in Houston and I’m in Richmond.
I’ve been putting this off but it is getting close to emergency, out-on-the-street-time for rent, car, and phone and I cannot work without my phone. I’m praying and believing I’ll be working in time for September’s bills but I am getting pretty scared about August. AND, I gotta find a way to pay to get this cancer out of my back before it hits the lymph nodes. (Dear God, please not yet!)
so, I know I have friends that have money and I’m not asking for a lot from you individually, I’m asking for you to remember how close and loving we were to each other in the past. Maybe some of you guys from many years ago who knew me as Dujay. Heck, I can’t leave you out of the fun.
So, I think I followed the instructions for doing this fairly well, I just hope I did not wait too long. I’m pretty sure a lot of you keep up with Facebook, though I rarely do. I miss not following you Oak Forest guys.
That covers it, I think. Please help me out with what you can and I’d love to re-connect anyway.
