HI, my name is John Stoeckle and I need a little assistance getting through the next couple of months.

Let me give you a little bit of the backstory...

In 2019, I was working for a business in the Film Industry in Toronto. Things we're a little slow but the work was steady.

And then early 2020 hit and as you all know, the world went kinda crazy.

Productions in Toronto shut down and I was relegated to working from home on less hours with the one production that decided to soldier through and try to safely keep as many people working as possible.

With the ups and downs of the crazy lockdown life, things got back to something normal-like in May of 2022. The industry went into high gear and work was speeding along.

Along came October 2022, with less than 8 days notice, for reasons unknown, the owners of the company decided to close up shop and told us to sever any contacts with upcoming productions and start packing up the office.

Not wanting to be unemployed and with the winter coming, (and a vote of confidence from the department head of one of those severed contracts), the former office manager and I decided to create our own company and continue where the old company had left off.

I won't lie, that was a very scary time.

We had two smaller productions back to back, in late December and Early January 2023, and things seemed to be going well.

In April of 2023, we got hit with the longest Hollywood Writers Strike in History

(I think I may be cursed)

The strike ended in October 2023, which made 2024 one of the slowest filming years on record, as production companies were very careful of what they greenlit, as they had all taken a massive hit the previous year.

Still we managed to get another 2 smaller contracts before the end of 2024.

Which brings us here.

I have been told the 2025 will be getting very busy towards mid to late spring but unfortunately, I am nearing the end of my financial rope

(I'm lying, I am currently hanging on to the frayed ends of that rope)

Food. bills and rent are all looming heavily
