MARTYN IS AN AWESOME MEXICAN SURFER!!! just won the 2019 title in his category of adapted surfing. Surfing has been his therapy since that motorcycle accident that left him amputated right above the knee. His strong will power made him go back into the water and surf!!
He now dreams to be able to surf standing and have a water adapted prothesis. PROTEOR, a French orthopedic company, in partnership with athlete Eric DARGENT have developed the EASY RIDE Knee, that would be perfect for Martyn. The prothesis is made to give the opportunity to practice a wide range of action sports (surf, snowboard, skate, mountain bike and more).
PROTEOR has responded right away to the project and is willing to provide the prothesis at a discounted price while adding a free foot and tibia. The dream is getting closer!!! Martyn is also in contact with a Mexican orthopedist that can custom make a socket element for him to go in the water with.
THE DREAM IS GETTING CLOSER!!!. All the elements needed are in place, it is now our turn to make the dream come true and donate!!!
