My name is Mike Potter, a veteran located in Wharton, Texas.

I served 10 1/2 years active duty with the US Navy and currently am still serving in the US Navy Reserves after almost 22 total years of service.

Since my return to Texas, I have assisted fellow veterans in making their VA disability claims, transporting them to their VA medical appointments, and financially assisting to help meet their basic needs.

Until recently, I have been able to do that by myself, but currently, I have a veteran in urgent need that exceeds my capacity to help.

He is currently battling debilitating cancer and has fallen behind in his RV rent as well as his car note.

As I am also helping him with his VA disability claim, I feel this is only a temporary setback until his claim is received, reviewed, and decided.

I am looking to raise $3,150 to help give him and his family some relief until things turn around for him.

He is 5 months behind in his RV rent at $450 per month. ALL FUNDS WILL BE PAID DIRECTLY TO THE CREDITOR.

Henry Rios is a US Navy veteran living in Wharton who has served aboard the USS Theodore E. Chandler (DD-717) and the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) where he, in his own words, sailed around the world a few times.

He was originally born in Newgulf, Texas.

He went on to Stephen F Austin University where he was scouted to potentially play for the NY Mets.

He served his country for 2 to 3 years and is now fighting cancer and mounting bills, driving himself in to Houston for his cancer treatment.

While I’m working with him on a longer term solution to his financial needs, he has an immediate need to get caught up on his car and RV rental.
