They say if you want to change the world, start in your own backyard.

With this motto in mind, my daughter wanted to do a litter picking and some other activities to raise funds for WDC, an organization that look after dolphins and whales, as part of her birthday celebration.

With help of her mum and friends, they made and sold bracelets, necklaces and used books.

We are doing the litter pick on the Welland River banks, along our nice town, Market Harborough. This river crosses the town and goes all the way to The Wash, in Lincolnshire, meeting the North Sea. Cleaning its banks helps prevent plastic and general litter reaching our seas.

The litter pick will take place on the 31st May afternoon.

We are raising money in aid of Whale and Dolphin Conservation and every donation will help.
