Whale Watching Crew Support

July 1st is usually a very busy day here as it marks beginning of the Tongan whale watching season. This is going to be a very different season as our borders remain closed, guests from around the world have to stay away.

This fundraiser is for my dedicated staff here in Vava’u. Their income earned over the season is what they depend upon for the year. With no Government financial support to help those impacted by Covid-19, the lack of a season is disastrous for our community.


As Dolphin Pacific has to remain closed this year, I don’t have the resources to furlough everyone and provide them the financial stability I wish I could. I’m hoping my friends and customers around the world can help.


Tongans are a proud people and this isn’t charity. When we share the whales with you, we share a bond and memories that are never forgotten. Ali and Kona in particular work so hard to give you those memories, and all I ask now is that we give a little back. This funding page is purely to support these guys that deliver life changing experiences to so many people every year. Together we can make sure this season it’s about them and what they’re experiencing.


100% will go to them, distributed monthly by me. This won’t match what they would usually earn, but every penny will help reduce the impact on them and their families.
