While working to fix a C1 during the recent 24hr race at Snetterton last weekend Chip slipped and broke his leg. Being a true legend he insisted the car be fixed and sent back out to maintain second place in the race rather than let us deal with his injuries, he toughed it out the car was sent back into the race (it finished in P2, well done Chip!). However after we got him squared away and to hospital it has turned out he has 2 spiral fractures in separate bones in his leg. This will mean Chip is out unable to work for a number of weeks and is in for a fair bit of recovery in the meantime. He is a self employed mechanic and we would like to try and make sure his bills are covered in the interim. All donations no matter how small are gratefully received, the Motorsport community needs more Chips in the paddock and pits (accidents aside haha) and we need to help look after them when something bad happens.
