Help my mom kick cancers butt!
Hello everyone. My name is Arthur. I am 17 years old and I live with my single mom who has been diagnosed with brain cancer. When I was 2 years old, my parents divorced and I have grown up with my amazing mom. However as time goes by, her health, both physically and mentally have began to deteriorate and she has recently been retrenched. As of now we have no income and she has been struggling to obtain money from the government for a while. She is trying her best, but she is losing the energy she once had. She has always been there for me when I needed it and tried her best to make sure I have a good happy life. It was never easy for her as a single mother trying to make due while my father dragged her in courts almost every month to try and lower the ammount he had to pay and the goverment not doing anything to help her. Moving up to 5 times a year, sometimes struggling to pay rent. It is safe to say that she has never been lucky with partners but about 2 years ago we all thought she finally found someone that will be able to love her and help her. So we moved to another city with him with big hopes. Sadly that wasnt the case and she fell into depression and tried to end her life. After that she was taken to a treatment center while I went back to our former city to live with my grandparents. Everything seemed to be going fine after they released her until one day she came home crying, telling me that she has been diagnosed. At that point my entire world fell apart again. After which I was received into a treatment center for depression. She has already been through one surgery but she is still at risk. Even tho she doesnt collapse anymore like she used to. Ive never really asked for help like this before, but Im willing to give it a shot. The picture I included was taken 5-6 years ago. Its pretty old but I included it because it was taken when we were at the happiest phase of our lives. Id like to see her smile like that again.
