Hi my name is Ella and I’m 8 years old. I'm fundraising for my dog Eddie who is in intensive care with tetanus. Eddie is a black Labrador and is 5 years old. We've had Eddie since he was a puppy. He is my best friend and we've been on all sorts of adventures together.

He has recently started enjoying life again around other dogs after lots of hard work and money spent on training. We enjoy camping and had not been able to bring him before because of his fearful nature with other dogs. We always try to include him as a family member and last summer we camped in the garden with him. After all his progress with training we are planning to bring him with us camping this summer and are looking forward to him enjoying his new found freedom. Eddie can also be found enjoying country walks, trips to the beach and cuddling up at home. He is such a lovely dog.

We don't know how he got tetanus - it is very rare for dogs (they are not vaccinated against this) and the experts cannot find an injury that caused this but he is extremely unwell.

Last week he went from being a healthy powerhouse to a very sick and weak boy. He is currently in Anderson Moores vetinary hospital in Winchester receiving intensive care and they are doing all they can to help him. In order to give him the best chance of full recovery the cost is going to significantly exceed our insurance cover. We are stunned as a family that this is happening but we just cannot give up on a dog that can make a full recovery. We are reaching out for help so that we can afford to pay for his treatment and I can have my best friend back. If you are able to donate any amount we'd be extremely grateful.
