Help with medical and living expenses...

Hello. Firstly we'd like to express our gratitude to all who have donated previously for when I got paralyzed back in January. I have made great progress since then and could not have done it without everyone's help, support and love. We are so thankful for our community and will be requiring some additional help to achieve more healing. This time for my wife, as she needs surgery in December, and for me to further my progress. My goal is to continue to gain more mobility, as I am able to walk a little bit with the aid of walking sticks. I cannot yet walk unassisted, but I will get there with your help. I am looking to purchase 8-12 sessions of Shockwave therapy. It's a cutting edge treatment not covered by my insurance and it aids in stem cell growth and nerve regeneration. My primary care doctor just mentioned she witnessed a quadriplegic patient go from fully paralyzed from the neck down to walking and running within a few months of Shockwave treatments, and she's highly recommending the treatment for me. I had one session so far and I did feel a bit stronger only after one session. While, I'm very lucky to be as far along in my injury as I am, I look forward to being able to fast track the healing process even further.

Now Zulema has been my care taker for this whole process. She's been by my side and taking me to appointments 2-5 times a week since this all began. I am one lucky man. People keep asking, why doesn't she get a job and support us? Well, between her dedicating 25-40 hours a week of care towards my crippled ass , taking care of Vajra and her own physical woes, that just has not been in the cards yet and we've been very blessed with unexpected monies coming in since the initial GFM campaign to allow us to keep afloat. With unemployment ending in September, and basically no income coming in since then (disability takes 6-9 months to kick in I'm told and it's only 700/month), we are at that awkward stage of asking for help. Zulema has been dealing with fibroids the size of racquetballs for the last couple of years and has been suffering many side effects from them, such as heavy and usually twice a month menstruation, brain fog, decreased energy, anemia, low adrenals, auto-immune hashimoto's etc... It's a miracle she's been able to keep up with all the work she does for her family. Since the fibroid extraction is not considered an emergency surgery, insurance won't cover it, so we needed to take out an additional policy which has a hefty monthly fee and a hefty copay as well. We have applied for rental assistance as well but seems a very long process. This is all very personal info for us to share and not easy for us to do. Zulema said post surgery will require a ton of rest and we're hoping to get through this being able to pay for all the associated expenses, rent, and hopefully have a decent Christmas scenario for our daughter Vajra...Oh and the alternator just went out yesterday on our car...☹️
We love you and thank you very much for any contribution that may help us get through our time of need. Blessings, Zulema, Rama and Vajra~
