To update what I originally shared below, I would like to now pass on a letter to all of you from Malia:
Dear Family and friends,
It's been a tough four months, yet I AM BEYOND BLESSED! According to most specialists and research, the rare autoimmune disease that I have been diagnosed with (compliment 3 Glomerulopathy/Nephrotic Syndrome) is incurable and the prognosis is not good. But....I know MY GOD IS THE ULTIMATE PHYSICIAN AND MY FAITH AND TRUST IS IN HIM! The journey continues. I have a long road ahead and I am so thankful for all of you that are walking along beside me. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the continued prayers, love, emotional support, monetary gifts and so much more. I LOVE YOU, THANK YOU FOR LOVING ME AND MY KIDDOS.

My niece, Malia, was hospitalized on November 16th, and just released yesterday, November 30th. After many complications, 2 blood transfusions, a kidney biopsy, and numerous setbacks, specialists were finally able to diagnose her. According to the doctors, she has a rare auto-immune disorder called C3 Glomerulonephritis. She has already missed a few weeks of work, and will miss more as she heals. This means no paycheck. She is a single mom with rent and other bills to pay. In addition to this, she was in the Progressive Care Unit, which is one step down from ICU, for 16 days; so, her hospital bill is expected to be huge. Additionally, she needs to continue to see specialists to treat her condition. Anyone that knows Malia, knows she is a kind, loving person that will help anyone and everyone. If there is a time that she needs help, it is now. Please, if you are able to help Malia, any amount would help her at this crucial time .
