Saving Ellie

Hi, my name is Katie and I am running a fundraiser to help save my cat, Ellie. She’s the sweetest tabby you’ve ever met and has a talent for brightening up the day of any and all people who come into contact with her.

last Sunday her partner, Balthazar passed away due to carcinoma. We’re all still in mourning as he was a very special cat. Following his death she started hiding more, acting lethargic, and developed breathing difficulty. We had taken her to the ER on Tuesday to get her checked out only to find out that she had a mass in her chest, free flowing liquid in her chest and abdomen, and a significant amount of lymphocytes. The vets worked to remove the liquid from her chest and put her on oxygen, but the procedure of tapping was so traumatic that we had to take her in 2 days later as her condition did not improve. The vets shared with us that the procedure they had done on Tuesday has caused her lung to collapse, and we are trying to do everything we can to save her life, at the very least so we can get clarity from the oncologist on treatment options and likelihood of survival.

in the past month we have racked up over 10k in vet expenses and at this time we are working as a single income household, any and all funds collected will go towards working to save her life or helping with end of life services should the doctors feel that she is beyond saving.
