On April 1 (yes, I know April Fools' Day) (yes, I am the April fool), I got ran off the road by a car 30 seconds from home. Thank God the dude across the street saw this all happen and got me out of the car because I was trapped on my side. I was pretty much stunned and shocked and didn’t go to the emergency room that same day because I knew I was just lucky to be alive and knew I didn’t have major damage like broken bones, etc.
But two days later, I was weak and in pain, completely disoriented with brain fog (still), my head is spinning, my balance is off, vision is blurry…not to mention just so depleted from recently before this accident having the norovirus and being sick for 5 days straight. The worst sickness I have ever had in my whole life…also from all my GI issues (fatty liver disease, malabsorption, etc., etc.) I decided I should go to emergency room. I have been needing an emergency GI procedure which was scheduled for April 10…But because I had a concussion i had to see the neurologist to make sure I had medical clearance. Well, the doctor cdidn’t give the proper “medical clearance” so they refused to do the procedure today. The neurologist wants me to get an MRI. i called crying and begging to get in asap. They called me back…this morning, and it was too late because you have to prep for the procedure. So now the procedure is not until May 22.
My car just finally got inspected and obviously is a total loss. I am also unemployed at the moment and have been since March 21. I am going to try to look into temporary disability because I can no longer be my mother's health aide as my own health has been declining.. I have been strong for a long time but I have never felt so weak.
