My name is Stephanie Drinkard Molon, and I've set up this fundraiser on behalf of my wonderful husband, Jeffrey! He is a fantastic father, husband, son, brother, and friend, and one of the hardest-working and selfless men I've ever known.

As many of you may (or may not!) know, Jeff has been been living with extreme dental health issues and injuries for over half of his life, exacerbated by genetics and a lack of dental insurance coverage until very recently. (Why is dental care a "luxury" in this country?!) These issues have caused him deep mental and physical distress, to the point that he felt he could not even smile on our wedding day. More recently, and arguably most importantly, the pain from many broken and missing teeth has made it increasingly difficult for him to eat and is now negatively impacting his quality of life in ways we simply can't ignore any longer.

The time has finally come for Jeff to get his smile back, which is so incredibly exciting - and so very, very expensive! In full transparency, the total cost of Jeff's dental care (including numerous examinations, x-rays, CT scans, extractions of all remaining teeth/fragments, implants, temporary teeth during healing, and ultimately his brand new, permanent smile) is estimated to be $34,000. For now, we are hoping to raise at least half of that figure so that we can get started with his first comprehensive consult in August 2025, at which point $10,000 is due upfront, and $7,000 at the time of the first procedure. All told, Jeff will also likely spend 4-6 weeks out of work during this process, and he does not receive any type of paid time off, resulting in total loss of wages for those weeks.

Personal financial and medical matters like this are difficult for both of us to share (most of us, I'm sure), and I'd be lying if I said we aren't having to swallow a lot of pride to publicly ask for help to afford these procedures. But Jeff deserves to live a happier, healthier life as soon as possible, and this is a gigantic step toward that goal!
