Mary was hospitalized with severe abdominal pain in late-November 2019, at the age of 46, and given an initial diagnosis of colon cancer. After a consultation with a colorectal surgeon in December, Mary's diagnosis was updated to stage IV cervical cancer. An emergency colostomy was required, followed by a kidney stent, in preparation for a five-week regimen of chemotherapy and radiation. Mary is now nearing the end of her chemo/radiation and will be receiving brachytherapy, a form of internal radiation treatment which allows higher doses of radiation to be directed to more specific areas. This treatment will likely be followed by additional chemotherapy. Reduced income from medical leave, combined with increasing medical expenses, has put a strain on Mary and her family. Please help Mary and her family in any way you can. All proceeds will go directly to Mary and her family to help pay for medical and living expenses. This page was created by Mary's oldest son, Alex, on her behalf. Thank you in advance to anyone who contributes!
