The Elouise Carden Rising Star Award in Post-Production
Elouise Carden, the co-owner and joint managing director of Rapid Pictures and Radiant Post, developed a rare and aggressive form of adrenal cancer in 2019. Despite the cancer spreading rapidly, Ellie continued work during her treatment for as long as she could but sadly passed away in May 2020 at the age of 39.

Ellie was passionate about nurturing new talent in our industry, and in particular women working in Post-Production. Rapid want to honour Elouise and continue her work, and so are launching an award and bursary dedicated to individuals who are making a difference. Rapid are working with Women in Film and TV (UK) to establish this honour.
This award will be presented to a rising star in Post-Production, a woman who has made a real impact on clients and colleagues, and who consistently goes above and beyond the expectations of the role. The nominations will come from all areas of Post-Production and the winner will be presented with a bursary which can be used for training, professional development and equipment to further their career.
We’d like to announce the launch of a GoFundMe campaign set up to facilitate Women in Film and Television to produce The Elouise Carden Rising Star Award in Post-Production, which will be presented at a special event on 6 July 2022.
We are raising £17,000 to fund the award, and we’d appreciate any amount large or small that you’re able to give. To donate, simply click on the link below.
The fund will be administered by Women in Film and TV. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and we’ll get back to you ASAP.
