Hi my name is frankie and I'm approx 2.. I've been having a very rough time lately. Firstly my first human didn't want me any more and I ended up in a rescue center which is where I met my new human mama. Everything seemed fine at first but now I keep retching and I've gone off my food and I'm not drinking much. This got me a trip to the vets on Monday 10th june (not my favourite thing) and the lovely vet Ruth at Trafford Vets in Carrington said it might be a hairball but turns out it was super yucky phlegm . We know this because I had to go back to the vets.. On Tuesday 11th June. I know right two days in a row. This time they kept me in, I wouldn't mind but I hadn't had my breakfast. I had lots of tests done and that's when they found the really really really really really really yucky stuff. They also found my spine and ribs are a bit wonky and two bits are fused wrong. Turns out I was born like this. This will probably cause me problems when I'm older.... I think I overheard the vet say pinching.. I have no clue what that means but mama looked sad. Then the vets and my mummy got an even bigger surprise as the previous human had lead everyone to believe that my boy bits have been sorted out.. But guess what they haven't.. This made mama cry.. And I mean water kept pouring out of her eyes and she looked very sad. My new human mama was at a total loss as what to do because her pennies were not expecting this. , but she loves me and wants me to have a happy fun loving life. My new human mama had insured me but my illness cover doesn't start till the 22nd of June. This means that everything that has been found at the vets won't be covered going forward as it's now classed as pre existing. My mummy is very very very upset and even more stressed out and worried. My mama isn't sleeping much though I do try to help her by cuddling in and purring down her ear. She wasn't expecting this. Mummy told me she had a fur baby like me that went over rainbow bridge a month ago and she said it broke her heart and that getting me helped her lots with the pain. Mummy says I'm a great help for her mental health and her physical health because she is poorly herself and she has to go for lots of appointments too but she said she doesn't see a vet. I don't understand but I just listen. Mama said I'm her comfort and support. Please can you help us. Even a little bit. I really need your help and so does my mummy. When my previous human gave me up she sent me to changing lives in Carrington. There I met the team and Nicole. Unfortunately they don't have any pennies to help mama out as they are currently looking after 40 plus fur balls like me and some of them are poorly too. It doesn't matter if you can only help a little bit. We will be very very very grateful. Thank you so much in advance. You are all purrrrrfect. So far the vets has cost my mama just under £55 pounds on the first visit and £680 on the second. Plus my mama doesn't drive a car so £40 on taxis to get me seen quickly because I've been a poorly boy. Thank you to all the humans who have donated so far and to anyone who is going to donate... Your purrrrrfect.. Lots of purrs. Love from
Frankie
Vet update.
Hi the vet rang mama today with my results. I have mycoplasma and bordetalla. I'm on the right medication thanks to the lovely vets. It might come back in the future.
